7:00am: Two cars parked outside.
7:30am: Three elderly men wait in the frosty morning air, peering in the windows while several more cars have arrived.
7:45am: 6 elderly men and one elderly lady stamp their feet and rub their hands together as they peer anxiously though the glass.
7:55am: The knocking begins.
8:00am: An elderly man uses his cane to gain leverage against the push of senior citizens through the doors. Another gentleman throws out his arm to prevent a lady from entering before him. A man begins to fall but catches himself against the door frame, while another wrestles through the pack. He is in the lead!
... "Shunk shunk shunk shunk *grumble grumble* Shunk shunk" ... the sound of walnuts being scooped for a solid two hours.
Saturday morning in a grocery store when walnuts are on sale for $0.99/lb. Scary but true.
